Italian designer Andrea Fogli is based in Milan, where he works as creative director for Domenico Mula's furniture and design firm, Dom Edizioni. Within the firm — and through his own studio — he's honed a style that's classical and clean-lined with just a little bit of bite.
We discovered his work through the Argentario Golf Resort in Tuscany, which Wallpaper Magazine described as a place "where Gehry and New York Industrial meet Big-Game plywood deer trophies to create a distinctively contemporary take on Tuscan luxury."
Fogli is best known for designing the interiors of resort hotels, including the Riviera Golf Resort and Spa in Maremma, the Mondial Resort in Marina Di Pietrasanta, and the Excelsior Resort and Spa in Pesaro. He also has a number of cafés and restaurants under his belt.
Fogli's interiors are spare and simple with a neutral palette. Their distinction lies in the details — the occasional metallic lamp or side table, a hunter green wall paired with glitzy brass accents, shapely wing chairs with high-contrast piping.
