This was one of our favorite new booths. Andrew Moe showed off a super simple line of ash furniture, The Oslo Line, made of reclaimed lumber that had relatively low price points, compared to the super high end stuff he usually makes. We loved the clean lines, the heft of the wood and the slim dimensions which would allow these pieces to fit into any home.
More info and pics below...
All of Moe's pieces are custom made and due to the oddities of the reclaimed wood, no two pieces are alike. This line is brand new and consists of 13 designs, only a few of which are in our pics: two chairs (armed and armless), dining table, desk and coffee table. The rest are all on his site and available for purchase as well.
"Andrew Moe's design education began at Princeton, where he minored in studio art. After apprenticing with a furnituremaker in Cambridge, Mass. several years later he enrolled full time in the Massachusetts College of Art. For two years he studied 3-D design, focusing on sculpture and furnituremaking.
In the years that followed, design dovetailed into dance and Andrew devoted himself to studying, teaching, and performing Argentine Tango throughout the US. In 2003 he moved back to New York City, dusted off his tools, and opened Moe Design Studio."
