The chocolate-covered wafer biscuit bar known as the KitKat bar only comes behind the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and Twix Bar according to my chocolate candy hierarchy. But I'll be seeking one out soon, thanks to an unusual partnership between Google Android and Hershey's, the makers of KitKat...
Google and Hershey's have partnered up to release a special edition Android-themed KitKat bar starting today at various supermarkets and other retailers, celebrating the code name of the next mobile OS release, Android 4.4 KitKat. The specially marked packages may offer an additional treat inside, with some awarding customers free Nexus 7s and Google Play credit. Sadly, the bars won't look like the Android mascot itself as I had initially hoped, but the flimsy excuse for picking up a KitKat bar is good enough for me!
Android devotees and Apple fans with a sense of humor will appreciate this obvious poke at Cupertino's Jonathan Ive's promotional video delivery, pontificating about the details and quality of the chocolate confection in similar style and passion.
