Remember when we recently took a look at the earthworks artist Andy Goldsworthy? Well, it turns out that his work has inspired lots of small creations using mother nature and her mesmerizing geometries. Take a look at a few Goldsworthy impersonators we've spotted:
These examples make me desire even more to go out and make a few Goldsworthy-inspired pieces for myself. Whether to keep behind a frame indoors or to slowly return to nature, works like these have wonderful appeal.
Have you made a Goldsworthy-inspired work of art yourself? What would you do if you did make one? Please tell us about it in the comments below!

Shaw's Original Fir...
These certainly make me wish I were living out in the wilderness somewhere, instead of a large metro area, so I could find a few more inspiring natural elements & do something like this in my yard...
I'm an elementary art teacher in FL and every year a popular project is our Andy Goldsworthy group project! I show them Rivers and Tides and then if the weather allows we head outside to collect and create art! Some have a hard time not taking it home, but like Andy, we photograph and video what we can :) He's one of my personal favs! Kudos for sharing him with AT readers!
I tried once to replicate his icicle "moravian stars" with plastic icicles... I know, totally not in the spirit of his work, but the real ones are mind-bogglingly beautiful, and I hoped to create a reasonable facsilile that wouldn't melt! Sadly, it was a disaster. sigh.
I love LOVE his art. Actually quite artless (in the sense of simple and genuine, free from artificiality and natural) really!
