Name:

Location:
Burtonsville, MD
Division:
Warm
Inspiration for my palette:
My inspiration for the room is the beautiful country of Morocco: its oceanic colors and exotic jewel colors against a neutral sand-toned background. My love for Morocco is the beautiful mix of cultures and ethnicities living together in harmony. The walls are stenciled by hand to mimic the intricate tile work found commonly in Morocco.
Colors used in my room:
Shocking pink and shades of blue like teal, turquoise, and navy
Tips for using color successfully:
Lots of trips to the paint store! I wanted to make certain that all the shades of blue (that were hand stenciled) looked vibrant and crisp. The girly-girl in me wanted to inject some bright pink in the space so I added it with accessories and in the antique-looking rug (which is actually floor tiles). The blue and pinks are similar in color tones but because they are bright, they make the space look fun and inviting.
