We love animal prints, but we don't like to be hit over the head with them. Our two rules for using animal prints in a subtle, not-so-trendy fashion: 1) Avoid the zebra rug; 2) Use only one print on one item in the room. Here are examples of rooms with just one animal printed item &mdash plus, animal-print décor options for your room.
• 1 Traditional Home
• 2 Pillow from West Elm
• 3 Traditional Home
• 4 Bedding from Williams-Sonoma Home
• 5 Kelly Wearstler's bedroom in Vogue
• 6 Prints of animals add animal prints without it having to be on a towel or rug, from Sharon Montrose
• 7Print from ZGallerie
• 8 One accent piece in an animal print can make a big statement, such as this giraffe bath math from Pottery Barn
• 9 The Izzy Collection from Missoni Home has towels reminiscent of zebra prints, but not exactly the same thing. At Unica Home
• 10 This Zebra balsa wall hanging from Velocity Art & Design is another way to get an animal print in a room.

The fawn rug always makes me swoon.
Hmmm...while I'm making some allowances for animal print in fashion (seeing as how it is back), I don't know about the home. Even when subtle, I am still subtly annoyed by animal print. I like to be open minded, I will think about this...and what makes it work versus what makes it tacky.
I LOVE zebra print!
I'd take an over-used zebra rug over a Bambi anyday...
Although I'm usually a turned off by real animal pelts, I love the first photo - it's listed as 'an antelope-print carpet' in the linked article, so perhaps it's faux fur?
I love this lamp at Neiman Marcus: http://www.horchow.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=cprod52650001&parentId=cat1180735&masterId=cat1180735&index=10&cmCat=cat000000cat000140cat1180735
I like the first pic a lot, but the colors... it's screaming for a little something else... maybe it's just me but I see beige and tan or light brown large rooms and I think about things like getting older.
