It's been said that the family makes a house a home and we think documenting your family is a significant piece to that puzzle. Whether you are an avid camera person or a holiday clicker, creating a family history with photography is important.

Of course, being design challenged adds another component to family photos, and if you are like us you want creative and artful shots to adorn your walls. We have been searching for a family photographer for some time now that isn't a fake-back-drop-sort-of shooter. If you are also in need of documenting your family by a professional we would like to point you to this woman.

Anna Kuperberg is a photographer who finally has a creative point of view. Not the typical "line up and say cheese" work, we immediately bookmarked her site and continue to go back regularly. Anna has an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and began photographing weddings and doing photo journalism straight out of school. Her work has appeared in Martha Stewart Weddings, InStyle, and People Magazine. She travels worldwide for weddings [and we would imagine other work as well if you asked]. In addition to that she has exhibited her personal work in prestigious galleries across the country.

Whether you snap yourself or have a professional do it, don't forget to document all of it: Aunt Marge saying cheese at Thanksgiving or your daughter in the sack of flour she's dumped while you weren't looking. It will give you great things to look back at and laugh about when you're telling your grandkids about the good ol' days.

Visit Anna's three sites: Fine art, weddings and families and her blog for everything in between.
