Here is everything we love in a family dining room. A fun (yet not too wacky) color palette. Surfaces that are uncluttered without being stark. Lovely touches like the handmade banner and the Spool birds. And oh my, that gorgeous sunlight.
We love every single thing in Annalea's beautiful dining room, but we have to admit that we're most gobsmacked by her take on the Spool bird mobile. We've always been stymied by the process of balancing a handmade mobile, but Annalea has brilliantly circumvented this problem by mounting her birds on decorative branches then affixing the finished piece to the wall. Genius!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful room. I am right in the middle of making a bird mobile and her idea is brilliant. I love seeing them perched in branches against the wall:)
Lovely! The dresser and mirror work well here.
I noticed pics of her house on Flickr a few weeks ago, and I've been drooling ever since. I adore her style!
Gorgeous! Another vote of love for that fantastic dresser - the color is so perfect:)
Wow! I just recently got a fallen tree branch, stuck it in flower pot, and then attached birds to it for my soon-to-be-born daughter's room. I was feeling insecure about how it looked until I saw the branches on her wall. Now I feel reassured. :)
Oh, and the flower pot the tree branch is in is very close to the color of that dresser. (Like anybody cares, but I just had to share.) lol
Wow a fun style...seriously I just LOVE this room! Great job Annalea! Kim
That banner is the perfect thing to put on the wooden beam in between my living and dining rooms. Just need to find fabric in my colors. Great idea!
