There's no denying that pets are like additional members of the family. I know that in my own household, our little cat is practically the child my husband and I will never have. It seems only fair that our furry friends get honored in some way. Enter Anne Leuck Feldhaus, an artist who creates colorful custom portraits of four legged family members.

It was Anne's love of her own pups that initially inspired her to create pet portraits. I met her adorable pups when I did a House Tour of Anne's home and I could see that she had captured her dogs' personalities in their portraits.

That's the cool thing about Anne's prints and paintings - she finds a way to embed some of the animal's character into a portrait. I mean, just look at cute little Pancho at the top of the page! That hombrito has major character!

Thanks to an easy-to-navigate website with a simple order form, Anne can create a custom portrait based on anyone's pet. Simply fill out the order form and email a picture of your pet taken from front or profile view and at the pet's level. You're also able to choose background and border colors for the portrait. A 50% deposit is required for all custom work with prices starting at $250 for a print and $500 for a painting.
