- What I Love About My Small Home:
- The natural light that streams into every room makes living in such a small space comforting. Cozy! The compact size makes it so quick and easy to clean.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- Storage. The house had only 1 small bedroom closet and a cubby in the bath when I bought it. I closed in the bath cubby to lengthen the bedroom closet to 7 feet. I also added a 7 foot length closet to the second bedroom. A 73 square foot room was added onto the back of the house for additional storage and laundry. The other challenge I haven't solved is the 7.5 foot ceiling height. The celing height does not bother me in the bedrooms, but I really dislike it in the living/kitchen area.

I like the bedroom with the wicker furniture! Not my style, but you've made it look appealing.
Where is your shower curtain from?
That wee purple wall is fantastic!
LOVE those living room curtains! Where are they from?!
You have 2 bedrooms in such a small space???!! Wow..
I too have a love for wicker, rattan and bamboo furniture. Your entire space is nicely done.
Pretty!
That is a really cute shower curtain. And I love the purple in the kitchen!
Love the purple accent wall.
Another vote for the shower curtain and purple accent wall.
Thanks for the positive comments. The shower curtain is from Walmart (I think!). The curtains I made from scrape fabric (Dwell Studio Bella Porte Charcoal) I found at a fabric store. A steal at $7.50 for 2 yards. I am not a fan of wicker furniture, but the pieces are small and were my daughter's when she was small. In fact, she entered this contest as well. Go check her out in the "Tiny" category! "Rebecca's Sunny Small Space" and vote for her, not me!!
Love the Purple accent walls!
not sure of your age, but if you can deal with getting out of low chairs, take the legs off your sofa, cut the legs on your chairs, or go japanese style so there is more room between your eyes and the ceiling. you can also snap a line about 6 inches below the ceiling and paint it ceiling white to create the illusion of a raised cove ceiling.
Way cute shower curtain...
It's nice to see someone from Louisiana on here (: I live in NY now but I grew up in Louisiana. Love the design!
You get a favorite just for being uncluttered and not mistaking mismatched mess for style. This is a nice, serene little space.
Hey, an actual bedspread-- the kind that reaches the floor. I haven't seen one in a long time, I just realized. I love it!
Clever suggestion on painting the top 6" of the wall to match the ceiling.
