- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- I love that our bedroom feels bright, and at the same time calm. Our home was built about 100 years ago as a summer beach house with old pine for floors and tongue and groove beamed ceilings. There is an open knothole by the door that has frequently been used by our daughter to drop notes through to the kitchen. I love the grapevine weâve collected and that the posts of our bed were made from trees we collected when a friendâs farm was clearing land.
- What are your tips for creating a beautiful, healthy and organized bedroom?
- Fill your bedroom with things you love. Frame a print made by a friend. Hang a guitar on the wall. Buy that crazy lamp you love. Be flexible as life changes. Our workspace nook began as our walk-in closet, became a convenient and adorable crib space for our daughter Lily when she was little, and has now evolved into a much-loved creative hideaway in our bedroom.
- In modern homes, bedrooms have become more than just a place to sleep; they can be a retreat, a home office, a library, a relaxation zone. What are some ways you make the most of your bedroom?
- We have a small home, and need to make use of all our space. We love having workspaces in our bedroom, which gives the room a great studio feel, but it is also a place to relax, watch movies, read and snuggle with our daughter and catch up on the day.

Perfect for a teenager.
I made an account JUST so i could vote for this. Everything about this room is gorgeous!
I like your end tables as well as the niche that was a closet. (?) I gather that's an office of some sorts. Nice..not a fan of the large branches/trunks but that's personal but your room does have an air of sweetness to it.
This room is lovely and has soul. Your descriptions are great too.
Nice!
Beautiful! The bed, the floors, the exposed beams, Superman ... Note to self: find grapevines, buy fairy lights.
An absolute standout.
The colour choices, just the right amount of natural light, the darker furniture, the floors and the ceilings with the vines and lights entwined laid over the collar ties completely set this room apart. Well done!
Really nice room. I love the white and wood combo, and grapevine & fairy lights. It feels like a sweet, relaxing space.
Can you give some information about your bedspread? I can't tell if it's a bedspread-y type blanket or a large piece of washed gauze. Either way, it's beautiful!
I think this room is gorgeous, just the right amount of old stuff with freshness in the white linens too. I like the vines and lights, I guess I am just that type who likes to bring the outdoors in. Its great and looks like a really warm place to chill out in. Well done.
I'm coveting that little two-tier bureau-slash-night table something fierce! Not really my style overall, but a lot of nice little touches here. Good job!
Love the tree posts! It'd be so enchanting to have them at the end, too... though maybe that would be veering too far toward the land of the twee? :)
The bed covering is a white stretchy throw from Ikea. I can't remember the name, but I'm sure it's in the catalog. Thanks for the nice comments!
I love this, and it's totally not even my style. It looks really magical and it must be really lovely at night when it's dark. Nice!!!!
Really love your bed and lights. Nice room. I can imagine reading/lounging all day in there.
Beautiful. What I want to have when I grow up.
Beautiful, warm and whimsical. I like the touches of fuscia pink.
