This 22-foot 1955 American Icon has been meticulously restored with a complete rebuild. The details are droolworthy and include natural hickory wood, aged oak flooring, copper sheet roofing and leather details. Even if you don't plan on bidding (it's up for auction), the photos are sure to inspire.
This Airstream travel trailer was once used as a hunting and fishing lodge near Goose Lake, Oregon. When Orvis got hold of it and decided to have it restored, they took it into Timeless Travel Trailers, the premiere custom travel-trailer builder in North America, for a complete overhaul.
The updated cabin is appointed with natural hickory wood, aged oak flooring, copper sheet, and genuine leather. Brand-new running gear was installed below including a new axle, brakes, suspension, wheels, tires, and coupler. The forward end of the trailer now contains a semi-circular natural leather sofa and ample counter space, suitable for comfortable dining and small party hosting.
The natural wood interior includes nooks for storage, and modern amenities including vent fans, and a TV. The shower walls are fully lined in aluminum, with a stainless with a stainless shower pan, a built-in bench, and a shampoo caddy. As if that weren't enough, the 13 panel forward end cap found in the Airstreams was duplicated here in copper sheet and finished with a patina for a truly unique look.
