We remember seeing billboards of Courteney Cox-Arquettes ill-fated decor show, "Mix It Up," on the side of the Beverly Center a few years back. We also remember meeting her husband at an art show where he bought some drawings from this guy and allegedly mumbled, "Courteney's going to kill me...she HATES it when I buy weird art..." And now there's buzz that Mrs. Cox-Arquette will be designing her own line of furniture to debut later this year.
Granted, we haven't seen much of Cox-Arquette's home decor style. When we hunted around the internet to see if she ever had an InStyle house tour (or something similar), we got bupkes. Actually, we did get something: Paparazzi shots of her old $33.5 million beach house. Check out this craziness:

the problem with the show was she produced it. if she actually appeared like Lisa Rinna on "Merge," I think it would have stuck.
She buys homes, restores them, furnishes them and then sells them. She has a pretty terrific eye and she started doing this as soon as she was able to purchase her first home.
Pretty smart, I think.
Her style is MCM.
InStyle Home did a feature on her once, showing the married house and some of the old ones. She did one up as a Moroccan palace. Very nice. Her style has changed over the years. There was a shabby chic type phase.
i'm bored to death of all these celebrity product lines, but i guess i'm not annoyed with courteney cox-arquette. from what i've read over the years, i sense that interior design is a real passion of hers and that she's doing this because she enjoys it and is good at it, not because she wants to take over the world and make a quick buck while she's at it. so while i don't know what kind of furniture she'll produce, i'd love to take a look at it when it comes out.
I'm pretty sure she went to architecture school for some period of time before persuing acting. Now that doesn't guarantee that one is good at designing furniture (or buildings for that matter), but we'll wait and see.
I read she was coming out with a line of clothing. Maybe she's doing both!
She looks hot in that pic. And I'm a big 'mo!
maybe wearable furniture? gawd, who really cares?
I've seen two of the houses she's done (in magazines) and I liked them both. They were VERY different.
