After posting this lovely vintage-y pink room last week, we have shared rooms on the brain. Just like last week's post, this room is vintage-inspired and features symmetrical twin beds, but in all other respects the two rooms couldn't be more different.
If pink isn't your scene, this color palette – featuring warm brown and red tones – is just as fresh and pretty. The splashes of red and the light wooden floor make this room really shine. The Marimekko Unikko wallpaper (in beige) is a bit spendy, but the Ikea Minnen beds are a relative bargain.

Sprout Side Table
I LOVE this room, especially the beds. I wish there was an IKEA within reasonable driving distance. :(
Oh boy! This is the color scheme I was thinking about for the nursery for our incoming baby girl, and was a little worried it wouldn't be 'pretty' enough - it's wonderful! (I'm also glad to see that it will be able to roll with the pink handmedowns I am sure we'll be getting.)
Adorable!! I love this room.
I have to warn against those beds. As adorable as they are, I had one, the legs bent and broke off within 6 months.
I love girly spaces that aren't too girly. Nice job.
I usually like this Marimekko print in brighter colors but it looks so lovely on the wall!
We have this bed too and I have to say it is very, very sturdy. It is used as a trampoline almost every day and nothing is broken or bent since we have it (3 years now, it grows with the child)
i love the versatility of marimekko. goes to show that good design is kid-appropriate too.
Beautiful room. My girl has the same bed in white - I want to paint it black now ;)
the whole house is beautiful- i saw it featured a few months back in house and home (canadian magazine)
such a gorgeous room!
love that zigzag pillow, where did you get it?
I love that room--the Unikklo pattern is a big favorite of mine. However, the beige colorway I've seen online doesn't look all that much like that photo, but different photos can look very different online.
We were considering the Minnen bed (in white), but then I found out it's not really a twin size in its final configuration. I don't want to have to buy IKEA linens for it, I've already bought nice linens for my daughter's big-girl bed. Can anyone who has the bed confirm the size for me?
We have the Minnen bed in white, and are able to use regular twin-sized sheets to fit the mattress. One thing to consider: you have to tuck the comfortor or duvet because the scrollwork at the bottom prevents draping. Other than that this is a great little girl bed! Now, where to find that bookstore sign....
We have those beds. 2 of them. There are 3 size options for them since they are extend-able. The 3rd option is a twin size. The bed and sheets fit just fine. Definitely consider the tucking vs non-tucking in.
I am getting ready to share our big girl room with these beds. I love how it turned out. The black iron really pops!
