I love the idea of a brightly painted interior door. But I don't think I have it in me to actually go through with it. If you're like me and want a dash of bright paint on your doors but can't bear to paint those panels, check out this idea over at Martha Stewart Living. Don't do the obvious and paint one or both faces of the door; paint the edge. It's a subtle sliver of color that really makes a nice impact without overpowering. It's a great idea for children's rooms too. This way they can truly pick their own paint color.
