There's a great place to find amazing Antiques in Philadelphia and it can be found in an old Synagogue located on the corner of 6th and South Streets. It's called The Antiquarian's Delight and it's exactly that.
FIRST ROW
• 1 A great velvet/corduroy Sofa.
• 2 I fell in love with this end table.
• 3 This ottoman would be the perfect punch of color in a living room.
• 4 This pendant lamp is amazing!
• 5 Here's the outside of the Synagogue (no way to miss it!)
SECOND ROW
• 6 This blue chair would look great in an office.
• 7 Retro Dining set that anyone can appreciate.
• 8 I wanted to take this chrome lamp home!

I had no idea this place existed! Gonna have to check it out sometime soon. Thanks for the info.
i haven't been there in a while, but i used to go quite often to check out the clothes, jewelry, vintage linens and eyeglass frames. it's a great place.
I just got a place in that area and noticed this place. I can't wait to check it out!! Thanks for the post!
*tear* i used to go there all the time on a lazy saturday when i lived in philly...filled to the brim with fun and unusual furniture, decor, and clothing.
this place is great but the vendors kind of follow you around and are pushy. otherwise its the greatest. don't forget they are closed mondays and tuesdays too!
Loving that gold ribbed-velvet sofa...
WOW... I live in Philly and I was just there on Sunday. The have a lot of nice jewelry. The furniture is overpriced... and most of the vendors are very pushy and they do follow you. There is a downstairs.... that is mostly junk. if you have the time check out the lady (vendor) in the middle with the wild and funky(cool) grey hair. Her items are the best, she is super nice and will work deals. I think her name might be Barbara.
I sat in that blue chair.... it is very uncomfortable.
Oooh, I hope that chartreuse ottoman is still there!
The vendors aren't all so pushy - mostly the woman in front who says it's a special 20% off sale... every time you walk in.
Barbara has great rings. Ask her to polish them for you. It's amazing!
(Then go around the corner to Decades Vintage.)
A new store at the Antiquarian's Delight is downstairs called The Vintage Chateau. Everything is vintage and the clothes are the best.
The jewelry is great, as the pieces are from the 40s, 50s and 60s. I have never seen jewelry like this!
A little bit of everything! I love this store! You have to go downstairs to see The Vintage Chateau, but it is worth it.
Check her out on the week-ends. Her name is Cassandra. She gave me a great deal on a vintage pendant watch.
I went there yesterday with my girlfriend who is black. They followed her around and made comments suggesting she was going to steal their rummage sale rejects. What a bunch of backwards ignorant fools!
