Televisions don't always have to be put in the most likely spaces. Gone are the days of feeling pressured to place your tv above the fireplace, just because that's what you see other people doing. While this method may not work for everyone, it does for Antoine.
Placing a tv on a built in shelf isn't something you see everyday, especially a small shelf. We'd venture to say that most people would have hung a large tv above the fireplace, but not Antoine. He's obviously a lover of art and chose to place a large piece above the fireplace instead of a tv, and we can appreciate that.
We do find the placement of the tv interesting and intriguing. It's as though his home entertainment elements were made to fit in each cubby. And if you notice, he does have quite the set up. Just because he chose art over a large tv, doesn't mean he isn't serious about his tech.
