We've heard good things about this film documenting the buildings of Gaudi.
Starting a run at the Film Center tomorrow, it is sure to provide inspiration for how we think about our own homes. This is a celebration of the work of an architect whose work is whimsical, beautiful and totally out of the ordinary.
Made in 1985 by Hiroshi Teshigahara, it has no narration, only a wide range of music to accompany the cinematic tour of Gaudi's work.
The film will be shown from 12/15 - 12/21. The schedule is as follows:

The Gene Siskel Film Center is located at 164 N. State St., 312.846.2600

Nomade Express Slee...
I saw this film a few months ago and while I was wowed by the buildings, I was surprised at the lack of talking. I was unaware that it would be narration free, so it seemed to stretch on f-o-r-e-v-e-r. I did, however, make me want to visit Spain...
I saw this a few years ago, and loved how people the audience were murmuring to each other and reaching up to point things out on the screen. Great movie from the guy who made, "Woman in the Dunes," in the '60's.
