Q: I saw this sectional in one of the Apartment Therapy house tours recently and the owner was kind enough to comment that it was a Jasper sectional from Room and Board. Unfortunately they no longer sell the corner unit just chaises. My apartment is small and has a wonky configuration so I can't get any sectional with a chaise…
I've been searching high and low for a vintage sectional that might fit as well but no luck. Any suggestions on who the manufacturer is so I can go directly to the source? Or any other suggestions for similar 'apartment size' sectionals? Any suggestions out there would be greatly appreciated!

Editor - Apartment size sectionals would be a great future roundup. But in the meantime, anyone out there living with a sectional in a small space want to share a recommendation(s)?

You might try Pampa Furniture. http://pampafurniture.net/seating.html
They can do some nice custom pieces for a good price. I've had two couches from there and found them very comfortable.
I have the Walton sectional from West Elm. It took some time to break it in, but we love it!
What about BoConcept? They're very flexible size-wise. Not too pricey either...
Plummers sectional was nice.
The only issue to be aware of with Pampa is that if you order something, expect it to take twice as long as they quote you. And the owner does not believe in any sort of customer service once you've made a sale. So, if you can buy off the floor and see exactly what you're going to get, that's the best way to go.
Check out JC Penney's furniture selection, but in a store that has a furniture gallery, not in the catalog. I was really surprised by the selection and quality (and low prices) of the furniture they have.
I have the Room and Board Jasper sectional and it's very similar to this one. I love it. It's a great smaller scale sectional.
Check out Blueprint here in Los Angeles. On the pricier side, but you can custom order. I have a 5-piece sectional from them that I bought in 2000. paid $1500 then.
Carson's Furniture Gallery, if you are in the midwest. I just got this, which is from Rowe Furniture.

And it's really compact for a sectional, And Rowe has a wole line of smaller, apartment sized couches.

For the L.A. area how about:

I'm trying to find the equivalent in the S.F. area (just in case anyone knows of a resource).
I work at a furniture store as a sales person in a town with many smaller farm houses and small sofas are hard to come by which is why we tend to carry many of them so we hear this plea often.
While I know that we all enjoy top end brand name sofas and it is only after doing repairs on a Restoration Hardware sofa last week that I truly feel comfortable offereing up this info-
Look into C and L sofas (out of L.A.) or find a distributor of the line, as they have many smaller sofas, BUT even better will customize any of the dimentions for a nominal charge. In other words need it and 1.5" deeper? They can do that need it 4" longer? They can do that! Another manufacturer to try is Lazar- modern sofas, high quality, smaller sizes and you by top of the line not just a top name.
We have a diminutive Broyhill sectional (~92' on each side) that we got several years ago. Selection is certainly limited for smaller-size sectionals, but a good salesperson at a furniture store should be able to help you find a few (they may not have them in store, but they should be able to special order).
Boconcept not too pricey??
A love seat there is like $2400!
Hi Tara,
I'm a furniture designer based in NYC and make custom pieces like this for stores and private clients for near wholesale prices. I can certainly make a sofa for you that is similar to the Jasper (I would recommend bench cushions though for a cleaner look). Or I can send you pictures from my catalog of similar styles.
I specialize in working with odd spaces and small apartments - I'm in NYC afterall!
You can see my new line of furniture for people with dwarfism, little people, BIG DESIGN, at my evolving website lpbigdesign.com
note: my manufacturer is LA but since I'm in NY, there would be no sales tax :)

WOW thanks for the suggestions everyone...
I also have a wonky sized Wohnung (I am Bavarian). I wanted a sofa with chaise. I ended up with the Manstad from IKEA.
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90125722
I know some IKEA items can be iffy with quality, this sofa is awesome. It comes in left and right versions for the chaise section. The fabric is a little 'eh' but it is super easy to redo the fabric.

I mean really easy. I bought the Manstad, put it together in my apartment, waited a couple months, got fabric swatches so I could see exaclty what the sofa and fabric look like before I buy the fabric, and whala! The the one low-point to the Manstad is taken care of.
And the extra storage section in the chaise part is freaking awesome!
Tara, you should check out The Sofa Company, they let you customize any aspect of your sofa. You can personally customize the length, depth, style, and fabric of all their sofas. The fabric choices alone were worth it! Their prices are very fair, in fact, for being able to create a fully custom sofa, I would say that it is definitely something you should check into www.thesofaco.com!
thanks kensington....i did look into the the sofa co but the style i liked doesn't come with with that corner chair and i don't love their fabric choices. If i didn't have my heart set on the style above i probably would have gotten a variation of their paige style long ago.
