Maxwell outside Story Boutique

We were thrilled to attend the Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker & Blogger Social this week. And what a social it was. Kicking off the event, Gayle Butler, BHG's Editor-In-Chief, praised the intriguing and inspiring stylemakers that are featured in this September's BHG issue.

Our very own Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan's house was showcased in the magazine, and he was honored to speak on the talented panel that included Kim Myles (winner of HGTV's Design Star), Suzanne McGrath (Interior Designer and Co-Author of Good Bones, Great Pieces), and Oma Ford (Executive Editor of BHG). Moderator Stacy Kunstel (Regional Editor of BHG) kept the laughter flowing and highlighted the universal advice that each stylemaker shared, which is that a continuously evolving personal style is more unique and intriguing. As Maxwell put it, "when people make a home for themselves (rather than hiring a designer), they do really interesting things".

Inside Story Boutique

The event was hosted at Story Boutique, a very cool "concept" retail store, where everyone grooved into the social part of the eve. From yummy Cool Haus ice cream sandwiches to Kim Myles' oh so glam do...it was a blast!
