Let us be your eyes and ears. Last week we were in Milan for I Saloni, and this past weekend our blogger swat team landed down here in High Point, NC to cover the spring furniture market. Though some have questioned the relevance of this aging traditional market during this deep recession, we continue to find it vibrant and fascinating, as it puts us in close touch with many of the folks who actually design and make stuff in this country. At the end of the day, this is an industry built on people, their creativity and their personalities. And they all come to life twice a year down in High Point. Here's what we've been looking at…

Martha has some nice gams.
I had to look up "gams."
Sorry, but what is doing Martha in a nightgown? O.o
All I could think when I saw that outfit Martha has on was "she really needs a belt". But I'm judgmental like that.
Isn't it funny how we all zeroed in on Martha? I, too, can't figure out why she would wear that unflattering frock. She is so nice looking. I do like her furniture, though. And also everything from BoBo.
Who cares about Martha... I'm fixated on the space right between Maxwell's pupil and the glaring man over his shoulder. How many rows is that? Why is the man so angry? Where is the crew?!
If you are coming to the High Point Furniture Market in October, check out the old Henredon building at 641 W. Ward Ave. Now refurbished with over 40 different dealers showing in 200,000 square feet! It's seriously incredible.... High Point Antique, Art and Design Center
