Every year in December, the Apartment Therapy staff gathers from the far corners of the country for our annual meeting and holiday party. This year, Maxwell wanted to invite you to join us!

Morgane Saout, the French designer who won our "Design is Not Taught" internship with David Stark, worked together with Max, Cate and Nelly to design a party that would give us all an opportunity to sit back, enjoy one another, and celebrate all of our hard work, each other (and you!). Check out her posts on the development of her design for the party!

Maxwell posted on Apartment Therapy and The Kitchn asking for reader questions for us to answer - and although we couldn't fit them all in the video, we included what we could - and haven't forgotten the ones we couldn't - more to come.

• Maxwell: Ten years ago, Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan was known as the "apartment therapist," traveling by scooter to his clients' homes to help them make their spaces beautiful, organized and healthy. Part interior designer, part life coach, his touchpoints were simplicity, comfort, and lack of clutter. Unlike typical designers, Maxwell didn't want to dictate where things should go or how people should live, he wanted to arm them with the tools and the confidence to decide for themselves. Maxwell launched Apartment Therapy in 2004, turning the weekly email into a daily blog post, reviewing stores, offering tips, posting photos of Maxwell's design projects and answering readers' questions. Maxwell has a B.A. from Oberlin College, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a M. Ed. from Antioch. He lives in New York's Greenwich Village with his daughter, Ursula.
