Our social circles are pretty insular, in real life and online. What if you and a stranger could follow each other anonymously? That's the idea behind 20 Day Stranger, a new app developed by MIT Media Lab’s Playful Systems research group & MIT's Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values. Without sharing specific locations of the day to day minutia of our lives, the app hopes to breed empathy by giving a glimpse of what it’s like to be someone else.
