Far from the Biblical notion of forbidden fruit, simple and graphic renderings of apples evoke feelings of childhood for me: life was simple and apples were my favorite snack. Here are ten terrific, kid-friendly prints, perfect for the apple of your eye.
Red apples seem to be the most popular, to artists anyway, but I made sure to include a green and yellow one to round out the bunch. These range widely in price from Enzo Mari's iconic apple print to super affordable renderings by Etsians.

I have been hunting and collecting old ugly apple pieces from thrift stores and painting them up for myself, and if suddenly they are in every Z Gallerie, I will scream. It's like loving a band, then they go mainstream, then everyone likes them, and what was original to you, is now mass loved by everyone.
My daughter is a young school teacher. She said that if she ever wears an item of clothing that has an apple or the alphabet on it, she should be "shot".
