I love my android tablet, but I also think the iPad is a slick device.. but, really? this is what all the fuss was about?
I actually like the styling of the original iPad better.
I know I have a vested interest in people buying cases ( http://www.actontreadway.com/ ) but I would say that these new covers don't really cover. The body is still aluminum and will still scratch. Also- the place where the magnetic hinge attaches looks ripe for constant wear.
Beyond that the new version seems like a decent upgrade but more like what the original should have been.
You're definitely going to get a wear on the anodize where the magnet attaches, but AL is a robust case material.
That said, I got a sleeve case to keep zippers off my aluminum finished MBP.
With the flappy cover and detachable keyboard it's looking more and more like the TC 1100 I loved.
"muster the strength" He looks fine. He's taking time to rest from the last couple of years that he has been recuperating, and building a new house.
Faster? I have not noticed any speed issues with the current ipad. Waiting an fifth of a second instead of a half second for an app to load is not a big deal.
I've been wondering what it'd be like to browse my RSS feeds using that FlipBoard app all my friends keep talking about. Looks like its time for a indulgent purchase.
I was hoping that there would be a non-reflective screen, but no go on this gen. It will probably happen with the 3rd (rumored to be a much bigger upgrade than this), but I won't be able to wait. A major birthday is coming up and I'll be celebrating with some new tech.
