If we were casting our dream show, chances are, it would include Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Well, we're pinching ourselves to make sure we're awake, because it's actually happening. Apple announced its first foray into scripted TV, and here's what we know about the show so far.

In Apple Video's first Netflix-like play, the tech company snagged the drama about a network morning show for two ten-episode seasons. According to Deadline, "it is described as an inside look at the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning, exploring the unique challenges faced by the women (and men) who carry out this daily televised ritual." Okay, which one is Kathy Lee and which one is Hoda?

Apple hasn't announced a premiere date for the currently untitled series, or even if it plans to distribute through just iTunes or partner with a streaming service.

The show will be the return to TV for the former Friends star; Witherspoon was part of the powerhouse ensemble cast of HBO's huge 2016 hit, Big Little Lies. Coincidentally, Witherspoon had a cameo on Friends as Rachel's sister, Jill.

Apple also announced another project called Amazing Stories, and it's actually a reboot of an '80s series from Steven Spielberg. The sci-fi storylines a la The Twilight Zone were critical favorites, garnering twelve Emmy nominations and five wins during its two season run, according to Variety.
