Apps More Fun With Friends

Apps More Fun With Friends

While using a tablet is often a solo activity, there are some apps which by design are much more fun with friends. In today's roundup we take a look at a few of these apps, some of which are multi-player on the device and others that connect over-the-air so you can play with your friends on the other side of the world.

iPadRockmate: This app is designed either for one player to use and control the whole tiny band, or for play with up to four friends. $2.99

Friendsheep HD: Corral your sheep while making your friends miserable by thwarting their sheep herding in this multi-player game. While it might be a tight fit playing this game with 3 other people also vying for tapping space, it's quite fun. $1.99

Toca Store: Great app for the Pre-K aged set that encourages imaginative play. Of course your child can use this app on their own, but just like playing store in the analog world, it's more fun with friends. $1.99

AndroidDraw Something: It seems like everyone we know is playing this game where you send drawings for your friend to guess. Free. Also available for iPad, $1.99

Wordfeud: When we asked one of our Android using friends which app they used that was more fun with friends, this Scrabble clone made the top of the list. Free. Also available for iPad, $2.99.

LUDO: This is the tablet board game that we break out in my house most often when we have people over. The game play is similar to Sorry and it's good fun for up to four players. Also available for iPad. Free
