Dana sent us another entry for the See My Artwork! Contest. While we didn’t think it fair to let people have more than one entry, we wanted to put this up as an inspiration post. We love the use of (inexpensive) multiple clocks to fill a space, but we really love the titles and (randomly) differing times. Funny. Smart. Good looking. Dana says of her kitchen art: ... I just can't resist passing on these photos of the "art" in my kitchen that I love so so much. This is the one thing that people are always sure to comment on in my house; everyone loves it. My kitchen is very, very yellow, and I've struggled with what to put in the blank space over the sink for two years. One day, inspired by a picture in a children's book (one of the Mr. Lunch books by J Otto Seibold), I painted the space over the sink white, bought some inexpensive clocks at Target, made up some signs, and there it was... instant art! The main problem (as you can see from the photos) is that these are very very cheap clocks. Seriously, like $1.99 a piece. So there are slight but constant time disparities between the inside and the out. But that only adds to the charm. Way to rock it, Aquarabbit!
