I had to share this amazing fireplace facade — it's part of a home renovation in Sag Harbor, New York by Jendretzki Design and Planning Consultant. The update to the existing home included the addition of some green technology and an overall plan that better unites the interior with the exterior spaces and amazing wooded views.
The renovation included adding solar paneling on the roofs, rain water collection for grey waters, environmentally sound materials such as cork and recycled wood-acrylic composites, and energy efficient appliances, and HVAC systems.
I'm fond of the horizontal cladding of the exterior stairways and banisters — it's very reminiscent of the Prarie Style, and well suited to the home's location.

Thank you for sharing this amazing fireplace.
definitely an amazing fireplace!
Ditto! Frankly, everything I see I love. Wish I could live an uncluttered minimalist life like that...
Bland, blah, brown and boring, IMO.
Actually don't love the fireplace. It's too brown. I like gray stacked stone, but don't love this. I do love the rest of the interior and exterior, esp the views.
Fireplaces are always a plus in any building. In this case I think the solution is pretty good. Unusual and far from the cliche of the mantle that most people expect.
Modern solutions are not for everyone, but this is pretty good.
