A couple of months ago, I had the great pleasure of interviewing NYC-based architect/designer William T. Georgis, who recently published his first monograph, Making It Fabulous: The Architecture and Designs of William T. Georgis. I asked Georgis, famous for his glamorous, edgy and often cheeky modern style, to pick out a few favorite photos from his new book.
Georgis, who was every bit as witty and approachable as his sumptuous designs, spoke with me about his second home in La Jolla for a story I wrote for Interiors California. I loved every inch of the place, from the cool artwork — Georgis' longtime partner and frequent collaborator, Richard D. Marshall, is a private curator, formerly of the Whitney Museum of American Art — to the dazzling decor, which the couple collected for many years from antique shops around the world. Clickity-click for the full story and photos.
And check out Georgis' book if you like what you see here. It's currently the star of my coffee table!
