Kala Studios is the work of DC-based woodworker Kaleo Kala — the walnut and maple furniture included casegoods, consoles and upholstered chairs and benches (even a mini kids version!) and a coffee table design with easily-accessible (but still hidden) storage. Check it out:

Definitely one of my favorite designers from the whole show. Well thought out designs that complement each other well, and each piece was designed to be customized so you could request a wider couch, a taller side table etc. And the coffee table is modular - just slide the table top and remove the narrow end piece. 3 pieces in total. Clever design and beautiful woods.
