My question is simple: what are the drawbacks/benefits of replacing a ceiling fan with a good ol' simple light fixture. I just bought a new home with 6 ceiling fans, that's one in every room, kitchen included. Aesthetically, I don't care for most fans*, none in my house anyway. If I replaced any in the guest bedrooms, is that something that would turn buyers off? Or will good design prevail?I live in in an area where temperature fluctuates between very cold and very hot. I'm not sure which direction I should go, but would absolutely love some input since I was having trouble finding relevant topics in the archives. Should I keep the fans or replace/remove them?
