My question is simple: what are the drawbacks/benefits of replacing a ceiling fan with a good ol' simple light fixture. I just bought a new home with 6 ceiling fans, that's one in every room, kitchen included. Aesthetically, I don't care for most fans*, none in my house anyway. If I replaced any in the guest bedrooms, is that something that would turn buyers off? Or will good design prevail?
I live in in an area where temperature fluctuates between very cold and very hot. I'm not sure which direction I should go, but would absolutely love some input since I was having trouble finding relevant topics in the archives. Should I keep the fans or replace/remove them?
