Whine, whine. We covet those windows. That brick. Those wood floors and wood ceilings. And of course art dealer Sabrina Buell's South Park loft in a 1916 warehouse is full of art. The knife in our heart(s)? She's rarely home.

Maybe she needs a house-sitter??
With all due respect, if I wanted a house tour of Sabrina Buell's home, I'd subscribe to Architectural Digest. In fact, it's why I don't. I'd much prefer to see house tours on this site of the not so rich and famous, people who's lives may even be effected by the economic downturn much of this country is facing.
Sabrina Buell certainly has wonderful taste. For that I congratulate her because not everyone so financially endowed does. She's extremely fortunate that her family history has enabled her to satisfy that taste. For anyone curious, she is part of the Mondavi family, her father Mark Buell, celebrated in his own right, is married to Espritâs Susie Tompkins.
Just my two sense worth wishing to see more down to earth lifestyles.
I think that AT does a fair job of representing both spectrums of the income bracket...
I agree that AT represents the spectrum and I wonder why this issue continues to pop up. I could care less if the homeowner is rich, famous or whatever. The question is what can I learn from what she did with her home.
I don't care who she is.
It looks like a beautiful space...but I could have done without the knife.
I couldn't agree more with TiffanyH and charlenemcbride. Well said.
Fashion Magazines have pictures of beautiful skinny people.
Automobile Magazines have pictures of really expensice cars.
Food Magazines have pictures of rediculously and often elaborately prepared and styled plates of food.
Decorating Magazines have pictures of rich peoples eautiful homes.
If I want to see ugly people driving around in rusty cars eating soggy take out and pulling up to their mediocre homes, I'll put down my magazine and look around real life a little. Geeze. Get over it.
what's not to love? the windows/light/floor. NO CURTAINS. solar blinds. i really love the sapiens around the support columns. reminds me of the revolving arts and crafts bookcases in the middle of some libraries without the need for a library zone.
as to the income issue. her money, her choices.
and i'd hardly call her famous. i wouldn't even call her parents famous. rich clearly, but i wouldn't recognize any of them on a plane.
After seeing the comments BB left here and on my own house tour, I'm getting that he/she is the local curmudgeon.
Wow, this is some kind of loft. it is so airy and bright. Feels like a swanky tree house in the city. Loves it.
sigh... so airy. i love it.
DarrenB, hardly the case. I think this loft is lovely, unique and shows wonderful taste, as I suggested. That was not my point. Not loving your home as much hardly defines curmudgeon. It's simply personal taste. There's no need for name calling. Sorry you were so obviously offended.
Can't we all just get along!? :) Had to throw some light humor in there! Love the apartment. Can't get enough brick walls in my life and those gorgeous windows complement them so well. Sigh!
Am I allowed to hate her? Fabulous loft, fabulous job, and she's pretty and has money. I'll just sob into my soggy pb&j sandwich that I'm forced to eat in my mediocre apartment to save money.
i love the apartment,,.its so very unique and wonderful taste.
its look like beautiful space i love it.
