One can always decorate with maps. Antique maps have a depth of interest and beauty of texture that isn't found in anything else. We were reminded how much we love maps by this Swiss Miss' Strange Maps post.
And what better place to discover wonderful old maps in NYC than Argosy Book Store? They're said to have one of the greatest collections of antique maps in the world.
A quick perusal online found this wonderful 1864 New York City map (up top) alongside a State of Kansas map (perfect for all those displaced mid-Westerners out there).

Take a look for yourself, or better yet, visit their gallery in person. Make sure to check out their $3.00 art book sale going on right now!

I live in Baltimore and always have paid Argosy a visit when in NYC for the past 12 years or more. Ah yes, back in my Victorian phase. I would always looks for botanicals (and maps) there.
