Aromatherapy has long been known to provide great healing properties, and candles are a great source for it. However, if you're not an aroma-therapist, how are you supposed to know which scent is best for what? Is patchouli better than essence of sandalwood? In comes Aromatherapy Interventions, a Newport Beach, CA based company. They've created a new line of 19 candles to cover almost any situation. They have extremely witty and clever names, such as "Unwedded Bliss", "Workaholic", and "Birthday Acceptance".

The packaging gives symptoms for each name, so for the "Panic Attack" candle, which contains the scent of frankincense, long associated with inner peace, it says it is recommended for "general fears of job loss, computer viruses, blind dates, and weapons of mass destruction." Although the packaging is humourous, the candles are based in serious "aromacology", or the sceince of scent. They just had a little more fun with it. You can find Aromotherapy Interventions Candles at Planet Blue in Venice Beach, Clever on Main, Santa Monica, Kitson, West Hollywood, and other fine boutiques locally- Check their website for more info.
