come fly, and leave the baggage behind, by Dana Robson

Titles: the evolution of function & form and come fly, and leave the baggage behind
Created: 2007
Artist: Dana Robson (aka aquarabbit)
City: San Francisco, CA
Size: 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.25" each
Media: pair of framed thread drawings

Description: Drawing with thread, Dana explores the relationship between science and nature. While science gives us the mechanism of memory, nature gives us the desire to hold certain memories close.. and often the desire to forget. The works in this series--all with titles from articles in Science magazine--ask questions about the process of memory and the search for real connections to others. Dana lives and works in San Francisco. More information about her work can be found at www.aquarabbit.net.
