Speaking of blank walls — why not try a painted pattern in the center of your small apartment to give it a little bling?
As always, I’m delighted by how many “colors” we get from using a neutral palette. What looks like black and white in your fan deck becomes beige, brown, mauve, cream and greenish off-black in the context of an arrangement.
Yes, we got the idea from a wallpaper source, but the fun thing about doing this in paint is that you get exactly the scale your room wants, paint is more sensual, and we applied the second color with Ralph Lauren shoe shine brushes, to give a bit of a marbling effect.
Columns were taped in this instance, but after drawing in the horizontals (in classic 30/60 degree angles) we free-handed the rest.

Cement Gray 2112-60
Stormy Monday 2112-50
Black Satin 2131-10
