Mortise & Tenon's Artcoustic Systems

We usually have little interest in anything audio . Our advice to anyone who wants a TV in the bedroom, bathroom or over the fireplace is always "don't", but the Artcoustic flat-screen TVs and covered speakers now being sold at Mortise & Tenon might make us change our mind. Beautiful wood frames, and cool silk-screened images hide what was once (to us) the ultimate eyesore.

This stuff aint cheap. To fit a 42" TV with a simple, but chunky wood frame costs around $1000 (TV not included). Add to that the special glass that lets the TV transform into what looks like a mirror when it's not in use ($1500), plus the speakers with their fabric or silk-screened covers, and for about $4500, you have a truly perfect way to have your cake (cool art on your walls) and eat it, too (screw art, Oprah's on!!).

Artcoustic is available at Mortise & Tenon.
