Classics (home of the Tizio and Tolomeo) along with what's new: Artemide. For sleek, ultramod, Italian style and design, the selection is impeccable.
Stopping in at the local showroom offers the chance to check out lighting in person that you have seen photographed many times. When considering a purchase, seeing the scale and quality of construction is important.
Award winning pieces that live in museum collections resulting from collaborations with superstar architects and designers don't come cheap, but these are one of the "worth saving up for" purchases that can be an important part of your homes character for a loooong time, and frankly often surprise us with just how affordable they can be, considering the pedigree.
Some VERY Artemide designs:
Dome by Ernest Gismondi Castore by Michele de Lucchi Tolomeo Mega by Michele de Lucchi/Giancarlo Fassina Logico Triple Linear by Michele de Lucchi/Gerhard Reichert

Our verdict: Absolutely worth a look when shopping for lighting.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Mary Graham, the showroom manager, is great. I went in there just a few weeks ago looking for sconces to put in my bedroom.
I was leaning towards the Tolomeo's, but after looking at pictures of my bedroom, she suggested the Melampo's and I couldn't be happier with the results.
The way this is written, it reads like a paid ad. Is it?
Original A-
No - we don't do paid editorial - advertising on AT is strictly the ad space in between posts and on the side bars.
The structure of this post is slightly different since it is part of our store guide, intended to be more of a listing/review and therefore is formatted a bit differently.
Thank you for clarifying that.
