Founded by Bonnie Glendinning in 2009, Artmuse was started to help artists reach a wide audience and give collectors a smart, curated selection to choose from. Not only does Artmuse help you find the right gift for someone this season, they offer gift certificates, too. Recently retooled and relaunched, Artmuse now showcases regular trend-spotting and trend-setting guest curators from well-regarded designs sites such as Design Milk and Design For Mankind. There are new interactive features that allow visitors to discover artists by easily browsing the artist profiles, posting reviews and sharing their favorites through social media and there are now more artists (with more coming by the week).
Search by price, size, artist or color on the site. And buy art and feel good about it: Artmuse.com has a section of Benefit Editions where the artist has chosen a non-profit for their proceeds to go to.
For more about Artmuse, visit their store page over at Marketplace.

Nomade Express Slee...
There's an art space here in Nashville that has an interesting program. CSArt is like a CSA program where you get a share of the farmer's produce, but in this case you get a share of art. The intriguing part is that you don't know what you get until you go pick it up. What you pay for it, OTOH, is very little. I'm considering a half share, as a whole share is a bit out of my budget, but $50 per piece for original artwork is a great deal. And I like the mystery of it. http://seedspace.org/?p=36
Oh, I really like some of the posted images. Also, I just glanced at the site of the art program described in the previous comment. It might be a fun, new way for some people to shop for gifts for loved ones for the holidays next year.
