Arturo Alvarez: Emotional Lighting

Arturo Alvarez: Emotional Lighting

Reading mstetson's design blog, we came across these lights by Spanish designer Arturo Alvarez, who (with a group of other designers) founded a company that produces handmade lamps. They have a modern DIY aesthetic, and they're a good source of inspiration for anyone looking to introduce some unexpected materials into their lighting scheme.

Alvarez describes the collection as emotional lighting: "hand-made designs, meticulous in every detail and able to fulfill all the lighting and emotional needs of any human being." We're pretty sure that no single light could fulfill all our emotional needs (☺), but we do think these pieces have a lot of character and personality.

We'd love to figure out a way to safely make our own version of the beautiful Fluo light shown in the first photo above. If you've got any ideas, let us know in the comments!
