I am totally IN LOVE with my office space! This is a combination of DIY and Pinterest and thrifting, lots of thrifting! I love shabby chic with a twist of industrial and a splash of modern as well. I'm a full time wedding photographer and graphic designer, so I basically live at my computer. I needed to make the space somewhere I WANTED to be, everyday.
I'm so inspired by Jeff Lewis, though I know my design is much too cluttered for him, haha. I'm obsessed with 'Fixer Upper' and everything Joanna Gains touches, so she is a HUGE inspiration to me!
Some of my favorite items are my vintage cameras. I give myself a rule to not spend over $10 when I find them at flea markets and garage sales, and I do just that. I wanted a farmhouse table for a desk. Everyone thought I was nuts, basically a dining room table for a desk, yep. The table legs came from a thrift store, I removed the top, and painted and sanded the legs. The top is reclaimed picnic table wood that was going to be tossed. It was sanded and stained and connected to the top using carriage bolts for some character! The shelving is also the reclaimed picnic table wood, and I used piping for Home Depot to create the unique shelving. I found an industrial grade muffin tin at a thrift store for $10, so I use that to organize all my little desk items such as paper clips, staples, stickers and rubber bands! Almost all the items on the shelf are from garage sales or IKEA. I bought a can of gold spray paint and just went to town on a few of the boxes and detail items to tie them all together. I also have a slight obsession with ribbon. If I find it on sale, I go crazy! My corner chair came from a thrift store for $12, I repainted the fabric to make it a fabulous white and gold!
