Can't See the Forest for the, 2007
Artstream Studios in Rochester New Hampshire recently mounted an exhibition of Ashley Goldberg's newest work entitled, Progress. The show runs through the end of May, so if your Memorial Day weekend plans include a trip north, plan to visit! This new series of work is larger in scale, bolder in color and abstract in content.
While I love that there is a gallery in New Hampshire sharing the work of a contemporary, Indie illustrator, I find her earlier work more exciting. Her past work often includes bearded men, bird figures with human faces, babies with mustaches, and woman with blunt cut bangs. She often uses an analogous palette and flattens her subjects to one dimensional proportions.
In addition to being represented by Airstream Studios, Ashley Goldberg is represented by Velocity Art and Design and Gallery Revisted.
To see more of her work visit her site. You can also see some installation views on her blog.
