Ashley's 'Lemon Zest' & 'Eternal Light' Kitchen

Name: Ashley
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Type of Home: rental apartment

Color Inspiration: There isn't any direct sunlight and only one tiny window in this small kitchen. Since the kitchen is the most important room in a home, I wanted it to be full of happiness and light, so I chose the brightest color ever! I love the way this yellow can go from borderline neon, to the warmest deep gold depending on the time of day. I've had the walls this color for almost a year and I still am so happy every time I look at it!

Colors Used: Behr Lemon Zest (S-G-390), Freshaire Eternal Light (FA020)

Color Tip: I would never use wall to wall color, to me that's just as boring as plain white. Breaking up the color makes it stand out more and isn't so overwhelming. It allows you to use colors that might seem intimidating or audacious. Plus, when half the walls are neutral, color doesn't seem like such a huge commitment, which is important when you don't own your home.
