White Enamel Four-P...
This is an awesome organization. My Fiance bought musical instruments (triangles and other simple instruemts) for a kindergarten class last year.
Hi, I am actually an art teacher here in chicago, and I have been participating in Donor's Choose for close to two years. I have a project on the site, and with my $100 budget for the ENTIRE YEAR, any assistance to my project would be greatly accepted.
My project is called "A lovely mural for a lovely school".
Thanks!
If there are more teachers looking for desks in Chicago, here are some free ones I found on Craigslist.
Great program! -- I hope more teachers hear about it - some schools need even the bare essentials - i volunteered in a public school classroom where the 5th grade students didn't have enough paper or pencils and there was no chalk for the teacher! It's incredibly disheartening to see how some of our schools are left so far behind others because of a lack of funding. Those kids don't deserve to feel like second class citizens, but that's the message they are getting. It's great so see people excited about helping our schools. I hope the word spreads!
It's baffling and sad that some of these inner city schools that absorb so munch government money can still have teachers asking for DESKS, and PENCILS. Something is truly effed in the system.
