Today's email goes out in ONE HOUR, and we're no longer going to copy emails below, so if you want to get in on the back channel, sign up on the left and join the email club... ;-)
Please reconsider posting the body of the email on the site at well. I know I can't be the only one who doesn't need another thing in her inbox. Plus, if it's on the site, it's easy to search for should we want to reference it in the future.
I agree,I don't have time to read the email I already have, and having AT in one place to reference from is a great tool. Please reconsider changing the format.
I also copied this idea for my own kitchen as a kitchen sink backsplash. However, since I have a window in front of my sink, I used a piece of jalousie window (about 3 inches tall by 24 inches wide) glass behind the sink that I purchased from Lowes. Initially, it was meant to be a temporary thing, but i've kept it thus far..
Ditto what potluck and jim@u-p said. Love the content, but drowning in emails! A pull rather than a push format has more appeal, for me at least. (Though I suppose that may defeat the whole intent of the daily emails!)Whatever you decide, AT will still be my favorite place on the web!
Like others, I don't understand the point of sending this info in an e-mail. Why can't you just post it here with all of the other great posts on AT?
Is it the idea of putting a sheet of glass in back of the stove or sink as a backsplash, so the wall doesn't get icky? My great-aunt did that a long time ago, but with a sheet of oilcloth on the wall. I like this better -- I just need to know what to bind the glass sheet's edges with.
I'm with everyone that would like to see your daily post online. Your post is going to go to my hotmail which I look at at 11pm at night, I'm tired, I skim it and inevitably triage to only reading the important stuff. I'll always intend to go back and read it the next day and never will.Surely I cant be the only loyal reader who works in an environment where they cant access non-corporate email?
personally, i don't like the e-mail posts. i HAVE signed up for it, but i rarely check it. i'd rather you post things like this & leave e-mails for things like reminders for contests, cure news, & letting us know if our questions have been answered.
Personally I have no problem with the emails to date. If you don't like them you can just unsubcribe.
jimkk, the thing everyone is having an issue with is that the information in the emails won't be available via the site - so if you unsubscribe, you miss it altogether. Which is a bummer.
Wait! So we can't see the article unless we're on a mailing list!? Lame-O.Luckily-I'm there're lotsa websites with neat ideas...
Got a tip, home tour, or other story our readers should see?
