I don't crow about glassware too often. I'm prone to using the same old classic designs, look for tried and true and amskeptical of anything claiming to be a new invention. That said, after not being an early adopter of Reidel stemless "O" series glasses, I fully converted. I have done the same thing again.
I didn't like Bodum's first take on these double walled glasses that were nonetheless amazing to look at. With the introduction of the Mug, they got me.
The Bistro Large Latte Mug is 15 ounces big and a beautiful thing to hold in your hand when quaffing coffee. With all edges gently rounded and your beverage kept nicely warm (or cold), I think it really uses this glass technology to its best effect.
Some care is required when washing and you won't want to introduce these to small children, but isn't that often the case with nice things? The Latte cups come in two sizes, are made of borosilicate glass and are dishwasher- and microwave-safe. $12 at Crate & Barrel, Bodum online and other Bodum distributors.
