Today I'm simply cleaning house. We get so much stuff mailed to us to test that we can't keep up with it. Therefore, most Thursdays we have been giving home products away and asking our winning reader to simply send us back a review so we can post it. This week, I want to introduce you to the Rowenta Pressure Iron and Steamer.

Coming, as it does, from the house of Rowenta, it's a beautifully adapted commercial iron designed for home use. Most steam irons have small internal reservoirs. This one has a 33oz. external tank and can hold enough water for marathon ironing (up to 90 minutes without refill) and is connected via a a flexible six-foot tube.

We have it here in it's box and the retail price on this baby is $160. If you are crazy big ironer and this would be a big help to you, please comment below and leave your name in the comments. We'll choose one commenter at random on Monday at 1pm and get back to you asap.
Best, Maxwell

White Enamel Flatwa...
My iron just broke. And I'm an obsessive ironer. This would be perfect for me.
Looks neat! I want to try it out!
Oooh, this would be lovely in my dorm room!
I'm gonna try to straighten my jerry curls with this baby.
I have way to many wrinkles! lol
I would love it!
I would so love a decent iron!
I'm moving into a new (well, new to me) condo next week
and have lots of long curtains and duvet covers to iron.
Cool iron! I am always looking for something to make my life a little easier...
If I win, I'll have to stop using my ironing board as a buffet table!
I would love a new iron!
I, too, have suffered from a broken iron--a Rowenta no less! I ran from my office to answer my phone and somehow managed to kick my ironing board. The iron fell to the floor and a plastic part cracked. Much sadness ensued. Of course, the call was from a telemarketer.
I'd love to replace my beloved Rowenta (r.i.p.) with this one.
would keep my silks nice and silky!
Would love it
hey! that looks a little like the irons that we use in fashion school at parsons.... except the ones at school don't work well ad go crazy with sudden bouts of steam. i would love to get a proper iron to use!!
I covet this iron. The old-fashioned fabric-covered cord! I think that owning this beautiful tool would make me a better person.
i normally don't participate in contests like this but i am for 2 reasons:
1) i really love your site. i recently moved out of the apt i shared with my SO and your site inspired me to decorate the hell out of my new place. it finally feels like home!
2) i left my iron at the old apartment. i've been faking it for a few weeks but i'm at the point now where i could really use an iron... plus, i've got a lot of cute clothes i could be wearing if only i had an iron!
kiki
We need an iron so badly! I just broke the Rowentta iron we received for our wedding and my wife is none too pleased.
Just another faithful reader with lots of ironing and a broken iron... pick me!
~ Abigail
The Ferrari of Irons, love it and want it!
sigh. . . steamer.
this looks perfect!
I would love to have one of these!
Looks great and I love the steam option - I threw out my old iron from college a few weeks ago.
I've been steamer-shopping for months! I almost bought one from an infomercial this weekend... please save me from myself.
I already have a home for it in my little abode, and am iron-less at the moment.
I would love this iron! Replacing my current iron has been on the to-do list for weeks.....
My iron broke in my recent move... help! This one looks amazing...
Three reasons why the Rowenta would have a good home with me:
1. I have not owned an iron in three years. There's a stockpile of things I never wear anymore. This looks cool enough for me to get nerdy about it and actually WANT to iron.
2. I just moved into a loft apartment with one roommate, two cats and no walls dividing our rooms yet. This would be one luxury in an otherwise mad world.
3. My big goal for 2008 is to learn to sew... and this would head up my first project -- curtains!
Laura
I right good!! Try me! Try me!
i love multi-use items...
I love this iron ..me kael
Looks like a great one! Would love to be in the running for it!
Just started sewing as a new hobby. I've got all the neccessary parts except a great iron.
Would like to see how this compares to my hand steamer.
I just started researching irons, looking to replace my old one. This contest is very timely for me!! I would love to give this iron a try. Chose me!
I registered for this. :-) I love new gadgets so I would love to try this one out.
Thanks
As a part-time costumer for non-profit theater, this would be so helpful. Not to mention for the part-time quilting and part-time sewing and part-time knitting ....
I haven't broken my iron, but I always feel like it doesnt get everything as crip and free of wrinkles that I would like. I use startch, I use steam but it still doesnt get it to the level I would prefer. I iron everything..curtains, bedspread, linen napkins, etc. So, I would love to test out this iron for my obsesive compulsive ironing ways!
My In-laws own a dry cleaner out of town and this iron set-up would so impress them when they come visit us. I seem to be always judged by my lack of ironing skills.
What a fabulous contest. We have had our iron since we received it as a wedding gift. It is 22 years old and we would love a new one. When our son comes home from college with 2-4 weeks of laundry, we certainly get use a better iron. Please add me to your drawing! Thanks very much, Cindi
All of my clothes get so wrinkled in my tightly packed apt. This would be a godsend!
ooohh! i've always wanted a steamer!
To say that I love ironing is an understatement. I can spend hours ironing, it is a sort of meditation I suppose.
Last night, I was starching my newest Dwell comforter cover. I love when the bedding is nicely "cracking" when you first get into bed.
When you like interior decorating and comfort as much as I do, you cannot live with wrinkled window treatments, linens or even towels.
Did I mention that "I love ironing" is an understatement?
I iron almost every day, and have never found a good iron that
gets wrinkles out of jeans. This one looks like it would do
the job for me. Fingers crossed here
I LOVE Rowenta!
My husband wears a dress shirt every day and we can't afford dry cleaning. I need this!
Looks cool!
love it!
Looks like another great product from Rowenta. My mom would love it if I won this....
I bought my iron at Target for $12 about 8 years ago. It is awful and I'm always wrinkly.
Steven Downs:
I could definitely use this right now.
Very nice! Love the website and mailings! Thanks!
Carol
I wish I had one of these as a kid when my mom used to pay me to iron my dad's shirts.
I saw this iron in Holland and my aunt was using it. This iron is a miracle and would make my life easier and ironing exciting when doing the shirts of my husband and all other iron-loving clothes
Oh, I could really use this iron and steamer! My current iron, a Hamilton Beach, dates back to 1979. My mother gave it to me as a gift for going off to college. Seriously! I have had to replace the cord and the plug twice, and it still functions, but . . . it is a little - how shall I put this - - worn out. Poor H.B. iron. And no special features! And poor me!! I work 4 jobs in various settings and the only time I think about buying a new iron is in the morning when I am ironing . . and then the day gets away from me and then another day goes by and -- well -- no new iron. AT, I would be so very grateful if you would consider my wrinkled plight for your giveaway. Thank you.
I love the lines of it!!!
Absolutely Fab design and it irons too!
thank you again for all of these giveaways - it's very much appreciated.
I'm a stay at home mom and am always ironing. Pick me!!
As a professional Costume Supervisor for film and television
(currently locked out by the Writer's strike....SOLIDARITY!)
and a Designer/Volunteer for a non-profit Theatre company I can really put this beauty through it's paces. Bring 'er on and lets see what wonders this baby can perform!
I would love this! My iron broke and I have been looking to buy a steamer too!
The perfect iron and steamer for my suits (that I have to wear EVERY DAY), curtains, sheets, sewing fabrics - the possibilities are endless!
The iron I use is passed down from my mother's best friend's mother. I got it after she passed. Not sure how long she had it. It works fine, but a super-steamer machine would be *sweet*
I've been waiting to get a steamer... This would be great!
Wrinkles be gone!
I am an ironing superfreak! Believe it or not, I actually iron my clothes after they've been dry cleaned!
Smart and sexy design! I would never put it away :)
My husband would love this; he complains constantly about my old college iron that leaks and sputters. He does all the ironing in our house!
If only it would remove all my wrinkles. It's a start, though.
I would love to win this, as I'm sure everyone would. I'm a big sewer, and a steam iron would be sooo helpful!
I am a diligent iron-er of clothes, fabric, curtains, table clothes...I draw the line at sheets. :) This would be a beloved appliance at my place!
I've had my iron for so long, the steam function doesn't work-- it'd be great to win this!
Wow. I'd actually consider ironing my clothes if I won this beauty.
There is no doubt that Rowentas are the best. I had one a few years ago. When it died, I replaced it with a different brand. Bad mistake! I need the great steaming for the curtains I'll be making in the next couple of months!
ooh! Ooh! Me! I HATE wrinkles!
Maybe my husband would actually iron his clothes, if I won?
I have a minature iron that needs to be refilled with water 2x just to iron 1 shirt. I NEED THIS!!!
I would love to have this cool iron! :) I just cleaned out my closet and I have a TON of wrinkly shirts that would be thrilled to have the pleasure to be touched by this iron.
I hate ironing, so I think that means that I would be a good person to review this item.
I need it.....I am all wrinkly. ; )
I've had 2 Rowentas. Both were great, but both broke on me. I wuld love this
Would love this!!
Woohoo, baby.
Perfect, we just decided that we should iron more instead of sending our shirts out.
we'd all look a little more neat before leaving the house (finally!).
I would treasure an iron like this! My current one spits yellow water out of the steam function. Not a good combo for whites!
Oh wow, if I win, I can finally stop sending my husband out of the house with wrinkly shirts. =)
Cool! This must be the holy grail of irons.
looks lovely
My Mother-in-law gave me some spray solution that is supposed to get rid of wrinkles, because I suppose she thinks my husbands shirts are too wrinkled. The spray doesn't work. Maybe that chic iron would...
Fancy!
The house of Rowenta has really gone and glamourized the idea of ironing. Clever idea making this iron aesthetically pleasing and multifunctional. I don't know very many people who takes pleasure in the work of ironing, but who could resist this gizmo?
I would love to test this; very excited about trying this on curtains.
My girlfriend would love this iron.......
Wow!! So many people have responded with every different kind of excuse to win that iron. I am going to choose not to give an excuse just leave you with a quote:
“My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.”
-Erma Bombeck
LOVE LOVE LOVE to iron! This would be especially useful for all my KNITTED garments/shawls/sweaters etc.
would love this!
If you want a review from a champion ironer - you should give this to my mom. She irons every piece of cloth in her house, shirts, sweaters, pleated pants - even the sheets.
This Rowenta is gorgeous. I have an older model that needs to be put to rest. They are dependable, steam like a dream, even heat and beautiful to behold. I would get so much use out of this!!
Sweeet!
I covet a fully loaded laundry room in my small rental apartment - my clothes and home linens would be much better cared for if I did it myself at home. The Rowenta would be a terrific entre into the dream.
I am a mad sewer. Currently a Fashion Design Student. This iron could possibly lead me down a direct path to nirvana. Oh, the heavens and earth might open up and swallow me whole. I already have what I perceive to be the “Ark of the Covenant” of ironing boards (Costco special).
This item although not tested and I am a tough customer, I am very meticulous about my irons. Appears to be the real deal. If chosen and if I find it to be worthy it would help me complete my triad of much needed equipment for successful completion of Design School. I would be glad to test and test and then test again. Oh and by the way, ask me about my "Ironing your way to inner tranquility" book soon to hit the bookstores. Not really but it is a thought.
Thanks for this great site, I love it but my apartment still is in dire need so I best keep coming back whether I win or not.
me! me! please pick me! thank you.
I would love that iron.
Would love to replace our out-dated hand-me-down iron! Thanks!
oh yes! marathon ironing = marathon sewing! i would love this.
I love to sew. Quilting runs in my family, and I recently completed my first. This would be great for my future projects!
me! me! i really want it. i would use it at least 5 days of the week. i would be a great tester. oh please pick me!!!!!
thanks
My good friend is an ironing freak and he SWEARS this is the best iron ever. I just always thought he was loopy but indeed, maybe I should folk out $160 for one too!
I don't like ironing at all, but I'd still prefer to use a good iron rather than a bad iron.
I am so in need of this...I have so much trouble using my current iron on my sewing projects.
I hate ironing anything that will make it easier is a blessing.
Richard Dietzel
I need it! My husband broke our iron last week and now I wear wrinkly clothes to work. I need to Iron my shirt!
wow I love the steam power. I'm a horrible ironer. Which is why my sis irons most of my clothers, but i make up for it by steaming the rest. too bad I broke the steam feature.
winning the iron would be a steam.
This is the iron of my dreams! I promise to give it a very good home if selected winner!
Always wanted a nice steam iron. I also wonder if I could clear up a cold with it...
I'd love to try this iron!
I would be delighted to use this iron on any one my thousands of projects. Pretty please?
This would be so fantastic to own.
I hate ironing. After seeing this iron, I realize it's because I have a cheap $10 iron. Don't even get me started on the steamer part of my iron which basically serves as a clunky squirt gun. No more throwing clothes back in the dryer and wasting energy if I had this awesome Rowenta pressure iron and steamer.
I worked as a shirt presser at a dry cleaner when I was in high school. Ordinary irons just don't give you the boost that an iron with a reservoir like this can. What a treat it would be to have commercial grade power in my own little laundry/sewing station! I would give this iron a warm and tidy home!
we could SO use this, thanks!
Love it!
Pick me! Just what I was looking for.
I would love to try this out and give a review. I am an obsessive ironer.
Ironing is the one chore that doesn't feel like a chore. There is nothing better than the sweet smell of ironed linens. Pick me and everything in my home will experience a marathon ironing session. Nothing would make me happier than a joyful afternoon of ironing in the sunshine.
I am a man who for the past 21 years has ironed the pants in the family.
Michelle I just want to say I am proud of you even if I don't know you but you have done a spectacular job on with the small space you have, I have a small place and I'm always trying organize things to make it look nice and neat, you have gave me soooo many ideals, I love your decor in every room especially the living room, and the two different panels to your windows are beautiful I am going to adopt that ideal. Any yes I could use a new iron I just recently move on my own for the first time and I could use it to iron my son and my clothes. Thank you again for posting your beautiful neat apartment.
I love to iron and I iron like it's my job! (i'm a costume designer- it kind of is my job!)
i need this, im waaaay to wrinkly!!
this is nice, would take care of heavy duty wrinkles.
Ooooooo. Aren't you beautiful? You know you are. Come live with me.
I'll review it
i have many a thing that could use a good ironing.
I'm ironing BORED! What I need is a fancy new gizmo to get me steamed up again, my old iron is just not performing for me anymore! (I am a shorty, so I have to hem and modify EVERYTHING!) Let me be the one!
Wow-very nice. You can tell you're getting old when a steamer is so exciting to you!
:-)
I like ironing and hate my iron. Plus, with this, I will not have to endure more offers from my boyfriend's mom for a bulky and clunky HSN steamer.
This looks so neat. Count me in!
This would make ironing a breeze!
I'm a frequent ironer now, since my fiance took a job requiring lots of dress-shirts and travelling! I think the steamer would be so useful.
Count me in! I would love this!
This would be great for hubby's work shirts.
There is nothing more luxurious than well ironed bed sheets and this is the first iron that I have ever seen that looks as though it is up for the job! Me and my sheets beg you...
I would love to own this and review it for you! Thanks!!
I would love to have this for my husband's shirts!!
i could steam the wrinkles out of my room dividing curtains and take better care of several dresses that need attention. sweet.
This would be awesome! I have some nice outfits this would be wonderful for - and my boyfriend's work shirts would thank you!
I would really love to win this!!!
ce613 at hotmail dot com
I SO need this!
I'd love to have this iron! One of my vanities is nice shirts, and I always wash and iron myself to keep them looking good for as long as possible (cleaners always end up washing too harshly).
An iron that wouldn't require a cloth to keep the no-stick that's peeling off from getting on clothes? Nice!
I'd LOVE to try this iron!
My first Rowenta Professional iron lasted 20 years-a great product! With other irons you'd have better luck with a hot rock! I wouldl ove this new one.
My steamer just broke yesterday!! Pick me!
Wow! I could definitely use this iron!
looks very useful
This looks awesome!
Great giveaway! Go ahead and pick me!
dansan826 at yahoo.com
this would be a big help to me!
I used to have a rowenta iron until we moved and it was damaged in the move. I would love to try this one again. It makes things so much easier especially with the kids.
I am really curious about the steamer function. Can you use it as an actual steamer? I could definitely use that!
Sounds strange but you don't know just how much I want this iron!
My iron is falling apart so this would a great treat to win!
oh at my age 65 it would be my last Iron and I could hand it down in my will..along with the cat..
thank you Majeral512
That iron is GORGEOUS!!!
Thaks for the consideration,
Harley Abrevaya
This iron sure would make ironing my work shirts a much more pleasant experiene. Love it!
this would be a great replacement for my leaky, annoying iron. Love that it steams too!
Oh, I love Rowenta irons and our old Black and Decker just broke!
I've never had a steamer...I'd love to try!
Not only is it a beautiful design object it is a work horse too. Perfect for bachelor pad ironing -- 90 minutes of ironing = pressed clothes to last for 2 weeks!
ah, help me replace my leaky black and decker
Since I have taken up quilting I have been an ironing fool. At this point all I have is a travel size iron and it works but it is small and takes me forever. I could totally use this!
Seamy dreams of crisp shirts and pants will grace my sleep tonight.
love the steam feature.
~Jade
what an awesome iron. this would really be a great help with the household chores as well as my sewing hobby.
now that's an iron!
camille =)
www.snaphappymama.com
I really hate to iron and this would just make it so much easier. What a great prize
I have my mother's iron from her wedding shower. Help me!
What a great iron! I hope I win!
I sew alot so I could really give it a workout...plus I have to iron alot for my husband...so this would be great!
Would sure make my ironing a breeze!
I love using the steam on my iron but would love to try this one out!
Enter me, please. I'd love this!
i would love this iron

I started learning how to sew yesterday and we need an iron. This would be perfect.
I love my rowenta iron and have been looking at getting a steamer as well!
I love the look of this iron. That was my first impression. But the review makes it 10X better. Would love one of them!
I'm an ironing freak!
This would make getting the wrinkles out so much better.
I've dreamt this invention before....pure genius!
I was just making some curtains for my baby's room and my iron started leaking water all over. I could really use this iron, and Rowenta's are the best...should have shelled out the extra money and bought one in the first place.
I need a new iron so bad! I love rowenta...
Oh Oh, now I will no longer burn a hole in the ironing board cover! This baby has its own stand.....sometimes things are just made for people!
I haven't a good iron ever. I have the same crappy one from college which was 10 years ago. And I love ironing.
I'm pretty iron-phobic but I would love to try again!
My husband would love to if I won!!! hee, hee Thanks!!!
Wow - this would be great for me. My husband's career requires him to wear a white shirt and suit 6 of 7 days a week - which means a lot of ironing for me.
I would love a new iron
Ah, I could send the old iron off to college with my son and keep the good one...wouldn't that be nice? Chances are he will give me that look and take off with the new one!
Thanks! GLTA! Michele
neato
I've been wanting a steamer for so long, but most of them are too big for our limited closet space. Thanks for the giveaway!
Ohh, I would love this. My iron is doing really funny things. Thanks for the giveaway.
This would look amazing in my "All Things Cool" room.
I've heard these are great. Please enter me!
Since I HAVE to iron I would love to use this one.
oh the wrinkles i could remove!
My hubby wears a suit to work and I could really use a good iron instead of my mother's 10 yr old hand me down
I hate ironing but I am a knitter. Every knitter I know who steam-blocks RAVES about this iron. I usually wet block which is kind of a pain so I totally covet the Rowenta Steamer/Iron (maybe it'd even convince me to like ironing...nah).
Tamak
Maybe this would get me to stop hanging my hubby's shirts in the bathroom while I showered to get the wrinkles out! LOL!
my comment is the best. the iron should be mine.
thank you.
Mine died a couple of months ago and I've been mourning it ever since and trying to talk my husband into buying me a new one. Pick me! :) Thanks for an AWESOME giveaway!
Great giveaway! I'm in for sure!
I totally need this!
I could use a new iron!
blogged ya:
http://laurawilliamsmusings.blogspot.com/2008/02/friday-edition-of-contests-galore.html
i need to iron some things out. :]
As a quilter the reason I would love this iron it's ability to steam press. When you sew/quilt DO NOT IRON (iroing is when you move the iron around the fabric). When you sew/quilt PRESS (Pressing is when you lay the iron on the fabric and pick up the iron to move it to the next spot. Pressing means you do not streach the fabric or pull the seams. This is why someone who sews would pay so much for an iron.
I would love to win this! It would be perfect for quilting.
I'm really interested in this steamer iron! Sounds cool- Count me in!
I have 7 kids, I iron a LOT. My oldest two boys have to be dressed up for speech meets and swim meet days. Then there is church, for 9 people.
Ugh! I would love to find an iron that actually gets the wrinkles out.
steam, steam, steam away. i could see myself singing that tune when i steam.
We are a wrinkly mess.
I'd love to win this iron! Thanks! ~Katie
My mom is an INSAINE ironer.. she even irons her sheets... and I would LOVE to give that to her for Valentines Day... possibly if I did she would iron mine too?
I blogged you as well :)
http://www.prizeatron.com
A single mom in NYC, I can use a little "No Pressure in a box" THX!
I'd love a Rowenta iron/steamer!
my little ole' iron has is old and barely working...27 years is too long to expect her to work...it would be great to retire her and replace her with a new Rowenta! please include me in the drawing.
please, count me in. thank you :)
I've misplaced my old iron and need one. This would do very nicely.
This really should go to the only household in America without an Iron!
looks like such a neat iron! Maybe ironing would be fun if one has one of those! :)
I HATE to iron only because it's such a chore to do. This iron would make it much better and would be prefect!
The thought of not spending more time putting water in my iron than I do ironing simply makes me salivate over this one.
I have never owned a brand new iron....I would so love to win this!
It has a 6' steam tube! I can steam things on hangers! I love this iron.
Thanks for the giveaway!
oh please pick me please pick me! I design and make clothes and accessories and this would be OH so helpful!
xo
The house was quiet, the children were still asleep. Looking into the room there was the basket filled with clothes to be ironed.
A drop of essential oil in the new chic rowena that she had just won. Pushing down the button, the steam enveloped her with its faint hint of lavender. It would be a good day!
it would a good day.
Never had my own iron/steamer ... now I won't have to borrow the neighbors'! :)
Ironing is never fun, but this would sure make it better!!
I already have the rowenta clothes steamer and this iron would complete my set. I love rowenta and i have been wanting this iron for awhile now.
I hope I am the one that is randomly picked.
I teach fashion design and I"ve used Rowenta irons exclusively at home for many years. This would really help my garment construction demos at school as well.
Ohhh - I would love this!!
OK, I know this sounds terribly unromantic...but this would make a PERFECT Valentines gift for my husband, who is a crazy ironing freak and LOVES his Rowenta...although it is getting old...and he would flip over a new one like this!
me, me
omg! if i had this i wouldn't have to use my shower to steam my dresses anymore!
My old one just expired and I NEED a new one.
Yay steam irons!
My shirts would love this!!!
i owned this iron and it broke last week. you cannot go back to the old irons. i need a new one!
I received one of these as a Wedding Gift and it has made my life so much easier. I get twice the ironing done in half the time. I cannot imagine using another iron. I would love to be able to replace it!!
i wish i may
i wish i might
iron with a rowenta tonight!
Ironing takes So Much Time - hate that! I have a pile of clothes lying in by bedroom waiting to be ironed.
