We love Betsy Perry’s boys bathroom featured In the recent issue of At Home. With an actual urinal and the word “Boys” laid in contrasting stone on the floor — it so reminds us of a 50’s school lavatory. We love the almost industrial look, which is also very functional...
There is an added bonus to installing a urinal in a residential house — it saves water. The Kansas City Star just had an article extolling their virtues. Urinals are economical because they use only a fraction of the water that a normal toilet uses per flush.
Residential urinals might finally be catching on.

Nomade Express Slee...
I think that's a pretty cool bathroom.
Residential urinals are #1!
GROSS
I hate any kinda toilet that has a motion sensor flush! The one at my work flushes 5x per person. great water savings
I'm for anything that conserves water.
Count me in. When boys don't care whether they hit or miss, then i'm all for them having their OWN designated bathroom...freeing the more conventional ones for girls.
Sorry, I really don't want anything to remind me of a Public Restroom. The smell, dirty floors....No Thanks!
really like that new looking urinal.
Even though it may be totally clean but it just reminds me too much of public bathrooms.
I'd never have to put the seat down again.
and it saves water.
i'm for it. if it saves water and me having to clean the toliet seat because guys can't aim. hook me up.
Too industrial for me - and I've got three boys...and what about the resale value?
Saving water is priority one, and then there's also the issue of not having to deal with as much splashes or missing with the target so close.
8^p
I really like that bathroom.
What do the guys think? Would you rather use a urinal than I toilet?
Although I would rather not look at a urinal, I have learned from experience living with boys that they cannot aim...
I think the urinal is cool. But rather than a low water urinal, how about a waterless urinal. My last job in Santa Monica had these in the bathrooms. They didn't smell at all.

I dunno if hot is the right word to describe a child's bathroom, but I like it.
I can't help but wonder where these boys um, you know. Do number two? In my bathroom? No thanks!
urinals are gross x10
No no no!
My dh Master Plumber put one in when our sons were little; I loved it and still do-it is vastly easier to clean; and remember to those who think that it is gross, it was so much easier to mop under than having to get down and scrub all around the base of the toilet everytime they missed; urine can actually rust and erode the closet bolts that hold the toilet down (even if they have caps over them-it seeps)
oh yes a urinal in a boys bathroom...as the mother of three boys, that would be an absolute dream come true...they all have precise aim everywhere else in their world's, but when it comes to keeping it in the toilet, man, all bets are off...
Coming from an all-female household, this would be a big bust for me.
Do they use those deodorizing cakes too?
love the urinal, hate the tile.
Not only do I think urinals are brilliant in a boy's bathroom, I think they should be in the master bath as well. The toilet seat is a quite a point of contention for many couples (esp new couples). And who needs a little shower stall next to a big tub? I will never take a bath while my husband showers. Put the shower in the tub and give us a urinal (even though my husband is very courteous about the seat).
I like it!
