Los Angeles was amazing this past week. Warm, sunny and full of energy and hopefulness. I spent every single day inside of readers' apartments with our photo crew (James Franco, Joe Maer & Rich) and seen more of the city's interiors than ever. Here's a taste of the first few days:
Justina Blakeney at home in Los Feliz up top. Her bungalow entrance below...

Justina's fridge...

Her original paper towel holder...

Where the days start: Intelligentsia. This is a great stool design, but I have to say that after a number of days there, the staff gets really low points for helpfulness and service....

Damon Hill & Sharon Bordas' lovely tile kitchen off Pico...

The Hillkurtz's living room with a great use of Ikea shelving on Ikea media stands (look at what the flatscreen is mounted on)....

This is how they hung their curtains with found branches...

Kelly Van Patter's bedroom with a Lampa lamp...

Kelly sleeping porch....

I loved this bathroom at Kelly's! Wall graphics by Vynil...

I love, love, love the wall decal in that bathroom. Perfect use and not overly designed.
I love the branche to hang the curtain. An inexpensive way and very interesting and nice!
I would like something like that to hang my little purses on.
I love the sleeping porch - great idea for a Queenslander. But does that one have actual windows?
Gotta love the paper towel holder!
Kelly, I love the black and white horizontal striped pillow on your bed. Where is that from?
